The summit is to explore the Chinese F&B market situation and recently released safety related regulations. During the past year, China’s tainted milk scandal and duck egg contamination scandal have caused a national crisis about public health and food safety. The Food Safety Law has become one of the most high-profile laws released in the year of 2009 while a series of food safety regulations including the recall system have been announced. This summit provides a communication platform for all the delegates to exchange ideas, to find solutions to current job challenges, and to engage in networking opportunities. Distingushed speakers from China central government and world-leading companies will also share with the attendees their precious experience and opinions in China's food and beverage industry. China, one of the most important emerging markets in the world, has witnessed great development in food and beverage industry. During Jan-May, 2008, the revenue growth rate of Chinese food market increased from 8.34% to 37.56%, compared with the same period in 2007. Such rate growth leads to the upgrade of consumptive structure which provides strong support for the development of food and beverage industry. Besides, various activities in terms of production and demand have been frequently organized in Asia-Pacific Region. It is under this macro economic background that this event is launched.
